Grand Central Market has been a downtown landmark since 1917, bringing together the cuisines and cultures of Los Angeles.  Today it is a vibrant and thriving community of multicultural stands and food stops, with 37 vendors in total.   You will find deliciously prepared food, lots of sweet treats, fresh fruits, vegetables, and beverages, as well as a jewelry store. The market occupies the bottom levels of two buildings at the bottom of Bunker Hill.   Lunchtime is the most popular time to visit, so if you want to avoid the crowds try visiting mid-morning.  One of the easiest ways to get to the market is on the subway.  Take the Metro’s Red Line toward Downtown LA and exit at the Pershing Square Station.  The Market hosts events year-round such as Trivia and movie nights.
