Liberty Station

Liberty Station is a place to discover a burgeoning hub for life and culture in San Diego. A unique destination filled with nearly 120 galleries, museums, artists, studios, makers, creators, and distinctive dining experiences. This new gathering place within 360 waterfront acres of the former Naval Training Center features historic Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, vast landscaped open spaces and plenty of free parking.

Liberty Station is a destination where visitors and locals can stroll the 25 park-like acres, discover something new and collect beautiful moments. Many of the 38 historic buildings are now bursting with authenticity, creativity, heritage, and innovation. Always changing and evolving, Liberty Station is a place to create, connect, learn, shop, dine meet explore and buy local art.

Open up opportunities to make memories, enjoy history, and simply live life. Watch a sunset paint the San Diego sky as a concert begins. Recline on a picnic blanket with fresh-baked bread and your best friend. Find that perfect birthday gift. Explore historic landmarks as you wander the spacious courts and plazas.

FIRST FRIDAY ARTS DISTRICT

This popular free arts event takes place on the First Friday of every month from 5-9 pm throughout the 28-acre campus. After 10 years, it has grown into San Diego’s biggest innovative arts event! Meet working artists, enjoy dance, theatre and music performances featuring community partners and discover intriguing public art installations. Wander and explore the galleries, museums, artist studios, distinctive shops and dining at historic Liberty Station.
