Brian’s 24 Restaurant Bar & Grill

Brian’s 24 Restaurant Bar & Grill features a copper-clad open kitchen.  The Bar features a beautiful, historic “Joan Crawford” mahogany bar and combined with the beveled glass window wall and crystal chandelier it creates an enchanting ambiance.

Brian’s 24 Restaurant Bar & Grill serves breakfast all day long!

Order something as simple as bacon and eggs or if you are looking for something unique, try the Chicken and Waffles, Krab Cake Benedict or their famous Gaslamp Power Breakfast. Their delicious Hotcakes and Malted Waffles are made with real buttermilk, fresh eggs and butter and leave many guests talking about one of the best breakfasts they have ever had.

A huge selection and over-sized portions of home-style comfort food includes enormous sandwiches, bountiful salads and burgers. They also serve choice New York strip, hand-tossed pizzas, and house-made meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The aforementioned just happens to be our favorite.

Inspiring breakfasts to start the day, meeting friends or business associates for lunch, a quiet dinner, late night snack or nightcap; only Brian’s can make it happen 24 hours every day.

The story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of the next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night.

Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown.

From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford’s estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality.

Fast-forward to today, the family business is still going strong. After Steve’s passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian’s four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm.
