Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels

Standing in the midst of downtown Los Angeles is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The Cathedral serves as a “model Church for all Parish Churches” in the style and content of its liturgical celebrations. In design, art, and furnishings, the Cathedral is rich in cultural diversity in a city in which Sunday Mass is celebrated in 42 different languages.

The Cathedral and surrounding campus receive a number of visitors to experience the unique architecture and exquisite priceless artwork on display.  Enjoy the Meditation Garden which has a quiet circular pool and Stations for the Cross for private meditation on Jesus’ suffering and death.  The Cathedral Olive Garden was conceived as a children’s play area and is now lovingly known as the ‘Children’s Garden’ adorned with animals based on biblical scriptures.
