 The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum aboard MCAS-Miramar showcases the history and story of Marine Corps aviators and their ground crews. On display are 27 aircraft dating from World War II to the present day as well as artifacts, uniforms and photographs. Experience Marine aviation from a pilot’s perspective during Open Cockpit Days. Cockpits of select aircraft will be open July 9-10 and 23-24; August 6-7 and 20-21; and, September 3-4. Pilot Talks are scheduled for 11:00 am on July 9 and on July 23. ADMISSION and PARKING are always FREE. The Museum is located at 4203 Anderson Ave, San Diego. The sentry-free entrance is located on Miramar Road, 3.9 miles east of I-805 or 1.5 miles west of I-15.
