The New Children’s Museum

The New Children’s Museum, located downtown is a dynamic new model of a museum that empowers children to think, play and create. They’re able to do this through participatory exhibitions, engaging art-making activities, captivating artistic performances, and in-depth educational opportunities. Get your hands messy and make clay creations to bring home! Take a trip outside during your visit and see what’s growing in their organic garden. Or stop by the Museum Park and experience the fun of bubble making. There are so many fun THINGS TO DO at the New Children’s Museum!

Eat better art:

Now in our 4th year, we are happy to continue our artful cooking classes in partnership with Jimbo’s…Naturally! These classes are designed to bring parents and children together in the kitchen as they learn about good nutrition and create delicious dishes! Each child and adult pair will create seasonal dishes and a simple art activity to take home with the assistance of our experienced Teaching Artists.
