LEGOLAND California

Let your children’s imagination come to life at Legoland!   Legoland California Resort, in Carlsbad, has more than 60 rides, shows, and attractions. The rides are made of gigantic Lego bricks, and the park decor is all things Lego. One of the park’s most popular rides is the Lego Technic Coaster. The bravest visitors will embark on a seedy and winding coaster ride in a life-sized Lego vehicle.   The driving school gives children the opportunity to learn to drive electric Lego cars and get their own “driver’s license” at the end.

Legoland California Hotel

Located right at the entrance to the park is the Legoland Hotel. Stay in fun-filled themed rooms that the kids will love. You’ll also get exclusive early access to select attractions and rides before the general public. There are plenty of interactive features throughout the hotel, including a giant pit of LEGO bricks in the main lobby.

SeaLife Aquarium

The aquarium has many fascinating sea creatures including, sharks, octopi, and rays. Your child can experience hands-on learning in the interactive touch pool exhibit. The aquarium features over 250 different species.  Watch divers enter the aquarium’s underwater wonderland and feed the creatures while giving you educational information regarding the creatures. The Aquarium opens daily at 11:00 AM.

Legoland Waterpark

The LEGO themed tower offers exciting rides and slides for all! The Pirate Reef is a water-filled cannon spray that battles between two ships and then soars down a flume between the battling ships. Enjoy sliding down Splash Out as it winds around a curving blue slide ending in a “splash out” in a pool of water. The water park has over ten million gallons of water to enjoy  including the wave pool and CHIMA themed play areas. Trust us, this amusement park is truly for children of all ages. Enjoy!

Very nice place. My kids had a great time so we went 2 days. If you have that option, then I suggest it because you... probably won't do the whole park in a day. It was very clean. The food was actually pretty good. Typical amusement park prices so expect to pay a little extra. You can bring snacks and water. The 3D (or 4D) shows are very funny so make sure to check them out. I was very disappointed that they don't have the Star Wars display anymore (no fault of theirs, $#&*@?# Disney!). We didn't stay at the hotel so I can't say anything about that. You do have to pay for parking. I suggest getting there before it opens so you don't have to wait too long for parking. And definitely get your tickets in advance.read more

Amazing park and hotel! My three year old and seven year old girls had an amazing time. The Legoland hotel was so cool... and my kids loved the room. Paying the extra money for the fully themed room was so worth it. The Brinks restaurant had an awesome breakfast selection. While we had a good time at Legoland we were also pretty disappointed. Majority of the food places were closed and the... park was overall pretty dirty. The lines were manageable and the staff was very friendly. We paid for better parking and it was well worth the extra money. They don’t gouge you on the prices of beverages or snacks and the crepes were pretty good. There wasn’t a lot of stuff for sale in the gift shops other than a few of the same Lego kits and lunchboxes. I would’ve loved to buy some cool souvenirs but didn’t find anything. The sea life aquarium is a must see! Our favorite part of the park hands down. Multiple levels and beautiful tanks. We won’t be visiting again but it was a nice day trip.read more

I went here 3 years ago and it is was amazing. They had everything I hoped for. They had amazing rides and even ones... for the little ones. My experience was amazing. The place can be really crowded but the lines tend to move quicker. Make sure to stop by the water park area if your warm. It was this little boys birthday and they took the time to sing to him. Thanks for making my experience amazing. This was a fun family vacation for us and our close friends.read more

Had a decent the today with my young kids. Park is aimed for kids ( I would say 5-10). Fun atmosphere. My daughter... and son loved driving school. Park was fairly clean. The wait times were longer than posted. Food lines were long. Not a lot of sitting areas once you got your food. My biggest and probably only complaint was how slow the ride lines moved. We spent a lot of time waiting in lines. Most rides have a fairly low throughput (maybe 100 - 200 people per hour at best). The splash battle took 45 minutes when there was only 40 people in front of us.read more

I actually enjoyed Legoland with my kids and husband more than Disney. The wait for the bigger rides was very long but... the smaller rides were the perfect wait time and my kids loved them more because they could ride by themselves. The outdoor knights theatre was so much fun and so interactive. The crowds were small and very polite. Mini land was amazing and the 3D movie was a lot of fun as well. We stayed the whole day. I do suggest putting aside one whole day for the water park.read more

There for sure is something special about Kansas City BBQ! I do not usually eat BBQ but we were meeting up with some... friends and since we had just seen a special screening of Top Gun my husband and I decided to go and at least grab a beer and soak everything this iconic bar had to offer. I saw they had burnt ends on the menu (limited amount available daily) and lucked out they had just enough for one more order left! I had never had it but have seen them on every food show I watch and thought dang they always look so good and these did not disappoint! The burnt ends were crispy, yet plump and juicy and the BBQ sauce was amazing, not too sweet and had a bit of a tang. My side of choice was the cheesy corn. It was tasty but I think next time I will try the mac and cheese. My husband got the hot link and fries, doesn’t seem too exciting but he said it was tasty. Goodness gracious great balls of fire! Of course we could not leave without having an ice cold Budweiser straight out of the bottle, just like in the movie.Compared to other restaurants (especially in the area) each menu item was decently priced and the portion sizes were good. The staff is super nice and makes you feel like you are home and part of the family. Such an amazing place and all the iconic pictures and items from the original Top Gun, Kansas City BBQ is truly an iconic part of San Diego’s history!read more

This park has some of the best customer service out there. They have gone above and beyond multiple times on many... different occasions. This past trip our son was not tall enough to get on one of the rides and it was the end of the day. They let my wife and daughter ride together while I waited with our son. Then they let our daughter and I ride together while my wife took our son. This was the last ride of the day... legitimately... the staff stayed an extra 10-15 minutes to make sure our daughter got to ride with both of her parents. My daughter and I were on the ride all by ourselves. We were in disbelief. The ride was Emmet's flying adventure, one of the newest rides. It has always been a great experience going here.read more

The whole of Legoland is made for families with younger kids. There are no major attractions here that are very... thrilling but that isn't the focus of this park. There aren't too many rides. It's more of a park for kids between the ages of 3-10. I don't think social distancing... protocols were the best. In the lines for every ride we were rubbing elbows with people. Social distancing is not enforced. There aren't many hand sanitizing station before and after rides. It was my first time staying at their hotel. I have to say I was a little worried because of all the bad reviews I had... read from previous customers. But to my surprise everything went well. We checked in and they had our room ready right away. The next day we visited the park and was a nice experience. All the rides were open and some had pretty long wait times but overall was great. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the Drangons Den breakfast service was really slow. Specially when getting your drinks. Spent an hour just waiting in line to check in and to grab the food. They need to be more organized in that area. Excellent place to have fun with kids. We particularly appreciated the attention given by one of the employees,... responsible for repairing the world monuments, who showed my kids how the procedures are done. Hope we can go there again someday!!read more

Legoland was the most incredible experience! Every staff member was dedicated to making the kids feel immersed in a... special world. Renata noticed my son was trading in a special Batman LEGO figure, so she took our family into the LEGO making space and showed him how legos are made and gave him special badges. As well he got to trade his special Batman for a different special figure! She made his birthday spectacular! As well we stayed in the adventure themed hotel, which was so fun and so easy! The “king” hosting the evening events was hilarious. This experience is worth every penny!!read more

Legoland California Hotel was great! Our kids had a great time and there is so much to do to keep them busy and tire... them out. Dance parties, treasure hunts, building competitions and a fun play area that my 9 year old even enjoyed! We will be back as this was a great time for all of us. The hotel is sitting at the front of the park, literally steps from the entrance.read more

Such a fun experience every time and the price is definitely worth it! It's amazing for kids of all ages. We go several... times every year. My kids (7 and 8 years old) would rather go here any time over Disneyland. You could probably explore the whole park in 2 days. It's crowded but not to the point where you're bumping into people everywhere you go and we've never had to wait more than 45 min or 1 hour to get on a ride. Most of the rides are small but some of them have age limits (must be at least 6 years ol to ride) and some don't allow parents to get on. It's not bad though because you can keep an eye on your kids at all times. There's also several little play areas for kids to play in and some of the rides have Lego areas for the kids to play with while they wait. Also, all the food is amazing! I love their apple fries. And if you can afford it, staying at the Legoland hotel or the Castle hotel just adds to the whole experience.read more

I have a lot to say about Legoland! Some good, some not so much. First, it was fun to visit... But only once and that's... all you'll ever need in your life!! I feel like most people have said the same thing. I really was amazed at the creativity in rides and the over all look of the park. I would say the rides were mostly geared towards a younger crowd. We also waited FOREVER in each line! The very best thing about Legoland was the Apple fries! I want to go back just for them! My kids said, "We liked going, but didn't LOVE going to Legoland." Do take that for what it's worth.read more

Just went on vacation with the family and we ended our trip here. I loved the rides and my son enjoyed them more than... I. Very friendly associates with great customer service. Also the park was well kept and clean. Only complaint would have to be the prices of everything. Other then that, good clean family fun.read more
