The Original Farmer’s Market first opened in July 1934 and is a historic Los Angeles landmark and tourist attraction. The Farmers Market’s old-time roots are still evident, in part due to historic displays scattered throughout the market. Such as the self-serve gas station (the country’s first) and a handmade two-wheeled shopping cart, not to mention the landmark 1941 Clock Tower.

The Original Farmers Market features more than 100 restaurants, grocers, and tourist shops. It’s located in Los Angeles just south of CBS Television City. Unlike most farmer markets, which are held only at intervals, the Farmer’s Market of Los Angeles is a permanent installation and is open seven days a week.
