The night sky enchants and beckons us, daring us to delve into the dark abyss and discover a world beyond our own. Palomar Observatory is the place to be for stargazing and dreaming under the twinkling stars. Located at Palomar Mountain, the solar observatory offers a view of the diamonds in the sky with five telescopes, used nightly for a wide variety of astronomical research.

It is home to the famous Hale Telescope, a 200-inch telescope that is the workhorse for modern astronomy. Daily self-guided tours 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
